Kent Police are investigating a fatal stabbing late Tuesday night, April 7 after a man was found critically injured on a sidewalk along West Meeker Street.
Officers responded at 11:54 p.m. on April 7, 2026, to the 1700 block of West Meeker Street (map below) after a caller reported finding a man lying on the sidewalk who appeared to have been stabbed, according to the Kent Police Department.
Police said the victim was bleeding heavily when officers arrived. Officers provided medical aid until crews from Puget Sound Fire took over, but sadly, the victim died at the scene. His identity will be released by the King County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Detectives are continuing to process the scene and canvass the area for additional information.
Police have not released details about a suspect or what led up to the incident.
