Several South King County organizations, including projects in Kent and Tukwila, have received state clean energy grant funding for new solar energy installations and resiliency upgrades, according to a March 2026 clean energy awards list.  

Among the largest local awards was a $1,237,323 grant to the Museum of Flight Foundation in Tukwila for a rooftop solar power system at the Aviation Pavilion, according to the document.

HealthPoint in Tukwila also received $343,517 for the HealthPoint Tukwila Commons solar photovoltaic project.

In Kent, St. Columba Episcopal Church was awarded $202,793 for a solar installation.

The projects were included in a statewide list of clean energy and solar resiliency investments supporting nonprofits, schools, churches and public facilities across Washington.

Other recipients listed in the document included the Port of Seattle, which received $322,000 for the Terminal 91 Berth 6 to 8 rooftop solar project, along with organizations and school districts in Snohomish, Lewis, Lincoln, Kitsap, Kittitas and Klickitat counties.

The awards document identified the funded projects as focused on rooftop solar systems, battery storage and community resiliency energy improvements.
