Kent Police are asking for help finding Brandon Ben, 21, who was reported missing Oct. 12 after his mother returned from a trip and discovered he was not home.

His mother last spoke with him Oct. 10 while she was out of town, and nothing appeared wrong at the time, according to the Kent Police Department. He has since had no contact with family members, police said.

“This is highly unusual behavior for Brandon,” the department said.

Ben rarely leaves the house and attends school online from home, according to police. He has no close friends nearby or usual places he visits, and he does not drive. His cellphone was not receiving calls when officers tried to reach him.

Police said Ben is an adult without cognitive disabilities, but his absence and lack of contact with family have raised concerns.

Ben is 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighs about 110 pounds. He has no distinctive scars, marks or tattoos. Police do not know what he was wearing when he left home, but he may have his phone and laptop.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to call the nonemergency line at 253-852-2121 or 911.
