Starting Jan. 1, 2025, all City of Covington court cases will move from the King County District Court’s Auburn Courthouse to the Maleng Regional Justice Center (MRJC) in Kent.
The MRJC, located at 401 4th Ave N. in Kent (map below), will handle all Covington criminal and infraction cases, including those filed after the transition date. Previously, these cases were heard at the Auburn Courthouse.
Covington is one of 13 cities in King County that contract with King County District Court for municipal court services. The change is part of an administrative adjustment aimed at streamlining operations.
