The Kent Police Department will participate in the DEA’s nationwide Drug Take Back Day on Saturday, April 26, 2025, offering residents a safe and anonymous way to dispose of unwanted or expired medications.
The event runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in front of the Kent Police Department, located at 220 4th Ave. S. (map below).
Drivers can simply pull up and drop off their medications — no questions asked.
The collection is free and anonymous, part of a nationwide effort to prevent misuse of prescription drugs and keep them from entering the water system or being improperly discarded.
Organizers ask participants to remove any personal information from prescription bottles before disposal.
A list of accepted and unaccepted items is available at kentwa.gov/police/community-education.
