A serious crash at the intersection of 124th Ave SE and SE Kent Kangley Road on Friday night, Jan. 10, 2025 killed one person, Puget Sound Fire and Kent Police reported.
The incident involved a vehicle that was engulfed in flames when responder first arrived on the scene.
Crews from Puget Sound Fire and other agencies worked quickly to extinguish the fire and provide emergency medical care to the injured individual.
The patient was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment, but apparently succumbed to their injuries.
Details surrounding the cause of the crash remain under investigation, and the identity of the victim has not yet been released.
Authorities asked the public to avoid the area as responders processed the scene and clear the roadway.
