Puget Sound Fire crews responded to a fire in a vacant home overnight in the 21500 block of 108th Avenue SE in Kent (map below).
Firefighters arrived to find flames coming from the structure and fought the blaze defensively due to safety concerns.
The fire was brought under control in about an hour, officials said.
No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
Fire crews remained at the scene for several hours to monitor for hot spots and ensure the fire did not reignite.
The home was confirmed to be unoccupied at the time of the fire.
Firefighters extinguished the fire in approximately 1 hour. The cause of the fire is under investigation. Firefighters will remain on scene monitoring hotspots.
