Des Moines Police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating Abner Rodriguez Herrera, a 14-year-old boy who was last seen on the morning of Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2024, before leaving his residence for school.
Police said that he has not returned home, and his family is concerned for his safety.
- Abner is described as 5-foot-7 and approximately 135 pounds.
- He was last seen wearing a black sweater and black vest.
- Police say he has connections in Burien, and may be in that area.
- Abner is bilingual, with Spanish as his first language.
Authorities are reminding the community that under Washington law (RCW 13.32A.080), it is illegal to harbor a minor without parental permission.
