On Tuesday (Jan. 9), Kent Police Detective Lovisa Dvorak was honored with an award of appreciation from the FBI for her contributions to the joint task force on Child Exploitation regarding Human Trafficking.

January is Human Trafficking Awareness Month, and National Human Trafficking Awareness Day is observed annually on Jan. 11.
