Volunteers are invited to help clean up a local roadway during an upcoming Adopt a Street event hosted by the Rotary Club of Kent this Saturday, Mar. 7.
The community cleanup will begin at 9 a.m., with participants asked to meet at the Lake Meridian Park and Ride on 132nd Ave SE in Kent, next to Trader Joe’s (map below).
According to the Rotary Club, the cleanup effort is part of the city’s Adopt-a-Street program, which encourages community members to help maintain cleaner streets and public spaces.
Participants must be at least 15-years-old to take part in the cleanup. Organizers say the activity typically lasts 60 to 90 minutes and that additional volunteers are welcome.
Anyone planning to attend is asked to notify organizers by email in advance if possible.
The Rotary Club of Kent promotes community service through its activities and encourages residents to participate in projects that improve neighborhoods and public spaces.
