Kent Youth and Family Services announced the upcoming sale of Watson Manor, a 10-unit housing community in Kent, with proceeds to be reinvested to expand services for children, youth and families in south King County, the organization said.
The nonprofit said the decision aligns with its mission to provide professional counseling, education and support services that help families achieve their goals.
“We remain deeply committed to advocating for equitable opportunities and partnering with the community to create better futures,” Board President Brian Smith said in a statement.
KYFS said funds from the sale will strengthen programs that directly serve the community, including an expansion of Behavioral Health programming to add Occupational Therapy and Psychiatry services.
“This sale will strengthen our ability to provide essential counseling, education, and youth programs for generations to come,” Executive Director Trista Helvey added.
The property will be listed for sale in 2026, the organization said.
Founded in 1970, KYFS offers behavioral and mental health counseling, early childhood education, after-school youth development and substance use prevention across South King County.
