This Friday, March 24, 2017 from noon to 1:30 PM, King County Councilmember Jeanne Kohl-Welles will moderate a special panel on reducing inequities for women in a special brown bag event at the King County Courthouse, 516 Third Ave., Seattle, WA Room E-942.

The panel will discuss challenges and accomplishments and how they view the future of women in all facets of their lives.

The event will be co-hosted by the King County Women’s Advisory Board and the Council’s Equity and Social Justice Legislative Branch Team. The panel will include:

  • Kristin Rowe-Finkbeiner, CEO/Executive Director, MomsRising
  • Joanne Harrell, Senior Director for U.S. Citizenship and Public Affairs, Microsoft
  • Dominique Stephens, Former City of Seattle LGBTQ Commissioner, Equal Rights Washington (ERW), Coalition of Immigrants, Refugees and Communities of Color (CIRCC)
  • Eunice How, Organizer, UNITE HERE Local 8

The panel will discuss the efforts of women from all facets of society in reducing inequities in the past and the collaborative work that will be key in diminishing those inequities in the future.
