The King County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the man killed in a stabbing last week in Kent as Edivier Jesus Duran Leal, 27, of Seattle.

According to the Medical Examiner’s Office, Duran Leal died from a stab wound to the chest.

His death was ruled a homicide.

As we previously reported, the incident occurred early Saturday, Feb. 7 in the 25700 block of 27th Place South, and took place outdoors.

The Kent Police Department is investigating the homicide.

Authorities previously said officers responded to reports of a stabbing and located an injured man who later died.

No additional details were released by the Medical Examiner’s Office.
