Meet Cocoa, RASKC’s Pet of the Week:

Cocoa is a five-year-old female Pit Bull mix who was brought into the shelter in mid-February when her owners were moving. Cocoa lived with another Pit Bull and her prior owners described her as friendly.

Cocoa is a very smart dog who is also playful and affectionate! She’s a pro at sitting but likes to see a treat in your hand first. Cocoa has participated in play groups at the shelter and does well with other large dogs.

Cocoa is 72 pounds and could probably stand to lose some weight. She would do best in a home with older children. She is spayed, current on vaccinations, and microchipped!

Her adoption comes with many benefits in addition to the love and snuggles she will give, including 30 days of opt-in health insurance through Trupanion and a discount on training through GoodPup.

If you and your family are ready to fall in love with a “pawesome” dog, come meet Cocoa! You can visit her at RASKC on weekdays from Noon to 5 p.m., and weekends from Noon to 4 p.m.
