Meet Valkyrie, RASKC’s Pet of the Week:

Valkyrie is a female Boxer/Pit Bull mix who is eight and a half years old.  She was brought into the shelter on Jan. 24, 2025, and at 60 pounds, is considered a large breed dog.

Valkyrie is a huge treat fanatic and will happily sit and shake for them! She is full of energy and loves to play. One of her favorite things to do is run around in the yard and smell all the smells!

Valkyrie is very affectionate and enjoys being pet and loved on! She is a spirited dog with a fun-loving personality. She will do best with lots of exercise and something to keep her mind busy. She is still working on her manners, so is looking for a family who is willing to work with her to help her become the best dog she can be!

She is spayed, current on vaccinations, and microchipped! Valkyrie’s adoption comes with many benefits in addition to the love and snuggles she will give, including 30 days of opt-in health insurance through Trupanion and a discount on training through GoodPup.

Through February 28, adoption fees for all dogs at RASKC are reduced to $50.

If you and your family are looking for an affectionate and energetic dog to join your family, Valkyrie may be the one for you! You can visit her at RASKC on weekdays from Noon to 5 p.m. and weekends from Noon to 4 p.m.
