From 10 p.m. this Thursday night, April 30, to 3:30 a.m. Friday, May 1, one lane of both northbound and southbound I-5 will close in multiple locations in Kent according to the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT).
The closures will occur between Military Road South milepost 146 and I-405 milepost 154 in Kent (map below).
Contractor crews working for WSDOT will collect roadway samples for materials testing.
This work supports a future project that will preserve roadways around the region during the 2027 construction season.
