Regional Animal Services of King County (RASKC) has announced its participation in the annual “Clear the Shelters” campaign, offering $30 adoptions for cats and dogs of any age from August 10 through September 10, 2024.
The month-long event aims to find loving homes for pets while reducing the population of animals in shelters.
The “Clear the Shelters” initiative, supported by NBC and Telemundo, encourages pet adoption by lowering fees and raising awareness about the benefits of adopting from shelters. With a wide variety of cats and dogs available, RASKC hopes to match as many animals as possible with new families during this promotion.
Adopters can visit kingcounty.gov/AdoptAPet to view available animals and learn more about the adoption process. By taking advantage of the discounted adoption fees, new pet owners can save money while providing a forever home to a deserving animal.
“Adopt now and save” is the message RASKC is promoting to encourage the community to participate in this life-saving event. Every adoption helps free up space in the shelters, allowing more animals in need to be taken in and cared for.
“Clear the Shelters” is part of a nationwide effort to promote pet adoption and has successfully placed hundreds of thousands of animals in homes since its inception. This year, RASKC is excited to be part of this important initiative and hopes the community will come together to make a difference in the lives of these animals.
