State Sen. Claire Wilson and Rep. Jamila Taylor will host a Town Hall for the 30th Legislative District at 10:30 a.m. this Saturday, Feb. 21, at Federal Way High School.
The free, open event will run from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the Lower Commons at Federal Way High School (map below), and is intended to give residents an opportunity to ask questions and discuss issues important to their communities.
Insurance experts from the Office of the Insurance Commissioner will be available beginning at 10 a.m. to answer questions related to recent flooding events in the community, Wilson said.
Representatives from the Office of Equity and the LGBTQ+ Commission are also expected to attend to provide information, share resources and respond to questions from attendees.
“If we don’t see you in person, we hope to see you on Facebook Live!” Wilson wrote in her announcement of the event.
“Please share what questions you’d like us to answer at the Town Hall by filling out this brief survey. I hope to connect with you on Saturday, Feb. 21 to talk about the topics that matter most to you,” Wilson added.
Washington’s 30th Legislative District primarily covers Federal Way and nearby south King County communities, including portions of Kent, Auburn, Des Moines, Algona, Pacific and surrounding unincorporated areas.
