Kent Police on Sunday, June 8, 2025 renewed their call for help in the case of Larry Martinez, an 84-year-old man who has been missing since walking away from a downtown tavern three years ago.
Martinez, who was 81 at the time, was last seen on the afternoon of June 8, 2022, after leaving the Pied Piper Tavern at 311 W Meeker Street (map below) around 1:30 p.m.
Yet, despite widespread community searches and multiple tips in the days that followed, he has not been found.
Martinez had no access to a vehicle and was not carrying a cell phone when he disappeared. Police said he walked with a limp and suffered from memory issues.
At the time he was last seen, Martinez walked with a limp, and had memory issues.
He was last seen wearing a black long sleeve shirt with a black fleece sweater over the top. He had on gray trousers with black shoes (see photo below). He had gray hair, and no facial hair at the time he disappeared.
Tips in the days following his disappearance included possible sightings at Kent Station and the Home Depot in Covington, but none were confirmed.
Authorities continue to urge anyone who may have been in downtown Kent on the afternoon of June 8, 2022, to think back and contact 911 with any information.
