Washington State Patrol Detectives are seeking witnesses to a wrong-way fatality crash on SR 18 on Aug. 5, 2018 that killed a 50-year old Kent man.

Troopers say that at approximately 9:46 p.m, that night, they received reports of a serious collision on westbound SR 18 in the area of the Issaquah/Hobart Road.

When troopers arrived, they were able to determine that a Silver 2008 Honda Pilot had been traveling eastbound in the westbound lanes of SR 18 and struck a 2003 Acura TL. The 50-year old male driver of the Acura was pronounced deceased at the scene, and the 68-year old male driver of the Honda was transported to Overlake Hospital.

Due to the causing vehicle traveling the wrong way on the freeway, the driver was placed in custody for investigation of Vehicular Homicide.

The collision is still under investigation at this time.
