The first round of results for Tuesday’s (Aug. 7) Primary Election have been released by King County Elections, and the early returns show that in the race for 47th District State Senator, it’ll be Joe Fain and Mona Das, for Pos. 1 Hargrove and Entenman, and for Pos. 2 Sullivan and Cooke.
Adam Smith will advance, and challenger Sarah Smith is trailing.
The top two vote-getters for each position will move onto the Nov. 6 General Election ballot.
Legislative District 47 State Senator:
- Joe Fain (Prefers Republican Party): 9,993 • 54.29%
- Mona Das (Prefers Democratic Party): 8,413 • 45.71%

Legislative District 47 State Representative Pos. 1:
- Mark Hargrove (Prefers Republican Party): 9,217 • 49.82%
- Debra Entenman (Prefers Democratic Party): 8,776 • 47.44%
- James Dillon (Prefers Independent Party): 508 • 2.75%

- Pat Sullivan (Prefers Democratic Party): 10,659 • 57.89%
- Ted Cooke (Prefers Republican Party): 4,555 • 24.74%
