The Kent International Festival will return for its 17th year on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at the accesso ShoWare Center, celebrating the city’s rich cultural diversity.

The free event runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Organizers invite the community to “Learn from Each Other” by experiencing a day filled with cultural performances, international cuisine, and interactive exhibits.

The festival aims to foster inclusivity and understanding among the diverse populations of Kent and the surrounding areas.

Attendees can enjoy performances on both indoor and outdoor stages, featuring music and dance from various cultures.

The International Taste of Kent Food Court will offer a variety of global cuisines from local food trucks and pop-up booths. Inside the ShoWare Center, cultural “Passport” booths will provide interactive activities and information about different countries and cultures.

Additional attractions include art and STEM activities, such as bookmark-making and robotics demonstrations, as well as exhibits showcasing student artwork and refugee stories from the “We Are America” book project.

“We believe that, through coming together and celebrating our various heritages with respect and understanding, we build a stronger and wider sense of community that is inclusive for all,” organizers said.

“We hope you will join us to Learn From Each Other and experience the beautiful diversity of Kent!”
