The Kent Downtown Partnership (KDP) is encouraging local businesses to take advantage of the new B&O Tax Credit Program, a unique initiative designed to simultaneously reduce business taxes and fund downtown revitalization projects.

The program allows businesses to redirect a portion of their Business & Occupation (B&O) taxes toward community-focused projects in Kent’s downtown core. By participating, businesses not only reduce their tax burden but also contribute directly to economic development and community improvement efforts.

“This program is a win-win for both businesses and the local community,” said Gaila Haas of KDP. “It’s a chance for companies to make a real impact on downtown Kent while benefitting from significant tax relief.”

To learn more about the program and its benefits, please reach out to Haas directly at ghaas@kentdowntown.org for additional details or questions about how to get involved.
