The Kent Police Department is urging residents who see the vehicle in Kent to call 911 immediately. Anyone with information about the incident or the vehicle involved is asked to contact Fife Police.
Authorities noted that, in addition to the false “ICE” markings, the suspicious vehicle reportedly has no license plates.
Fife Police officers responded at around 5 p.m. after reports that the unlicensed SUV, featuring emblems similar to DHS vehicles and the words “ICE,” “1775,” and “911,” circled the market’s parking lot.
Witnesses told police the vehicle stopped briefly, blocked the driveway, and occupants honked the horn and recorded video before driving away when approached by a security guard.
The Department of Homeland Security has confirmed to Fife Police that the vehicle is not associated with them. Fife Police are coordinating with DHS and the FBI’s Seattle office as they investigate the incident.
