Kent residents will have the opportunity to meet Police Chief Rafael Padilla and members of the Kent Police Department (KPD) at an upcoming Coffee with the Chief event on Wednesday, Mar. 5, 2025, from 8 to 10 a.m. at Cutters Point Coffee on Kent’s West Hill.
The informal gathering allows community members to ask questions, share concerns, and connect with officers in a relaxed setting.
“This is one of our favorite events because it gives us a chance to meet the people we serve in a casual, friendly atmosphere,” Kent Police said in a statement. “We love reconnecting with familiar faces while also welcoming new ones.”
Residents are encouraged to stop by at any time during the event, even if they cannot make it right at 8 a.m.
Those who can’t attend this session will have other chances to engage with KPD, as the department hosts ‘Meet the Chief’ events approximately every two months, including some held in the evening to accommodate different schedules.
