The King County Medical Examiner’s Office this week released the identity of a 24-year-old man who was found dead from a gunshot wound at the Lake Fenwick Disc Golf Course as Elijah J. Oceguera Bestgen.
Coroners determined the cause of death as a “gunshot wound of head,” and it’s considered a homicide.
As we previously reported, the victim was found dead on Friday morning, Feb. 7, 2025 near the Lake Fenwick Disc Golf Park.
Police said that initial evidence suggests the victim likely died last night or early Friday morning.
Detectives are actively gathering statements and evidence to identify a suspect and determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
