The Washington State Patrol has issued an Endangered Missing Person Alert (EMPA) for 13-year-old Jonatan Biyembika, a non-verbal autistic boy last seen early Monday morning in Kent.

Jonatan was reported missing around 7 a.m. on Monday, July 21, 2025 in the area of 25006 Pacific Highway South (map below).

He was last seen on foot and is considered at-risk due to his age, medical condition, and inability to communicate or return home without assistance.

He is described as 5-foot-6, 110 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

He was last seen wearing a purple jacket, black shirt, and gray pants.

Authorities say Jonatan’s disappearance poses a significant concern because he is non-verbal and may not be able to seek help.

“We’re asking the public to be alert and call 911 immediately if they see anyone matching Jonatan’s description,” Kent Police said in a statement.

The alert was activated by the Washington State Patrol on behalf of Kent Police.

Anyone with information is urged to call 9-1-1 immediately.
