A 34-year-old Renton man died early Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2025 after being struck by a vehicle in Kent, according to the Kent Police Department.
Police said the collision happened at 12:01 a.m. in the 11400 block of Southeast 208th Street (map below).
Officers arrived to find the man unconscious in the roadway with multiple injuries. Medics began lifesaving efforts, including CPR, and transported him to Harborview Medical Center, where sadly, he later died.
The driver, a 66-year-old Kent man, told officers the pedestrian appeared suddenly in front of his vehicle while he was driving east on SW 208th Street.
The man was reportedly not in a crosswalk and was not visible, according to police.
The driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with officers.
The Kent Police Traffic Unit is investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision.
