Last Friday, the Covington Chamber of Commerce hosted its 2024 Business Awards Dinner & Silent Auction, honoring excellence among its members for the 2024 calendar year.

Emceed by Tracy Taylor, the event at Grill in the Woods at Druids Glen brought together more than 100 members and guests to celebrate winners and finalists from Covington, Maple Valley, Auburn, Kent, and beyond.

“The awards dinner was a great opportunity to bring our members together to celebrate our businesses’ achievements and thank everyone for their contributions to our community,” Dana Neuts, CEO, of the Covington Chamber said. “This was our first awards dinner, and it was a big success. Congratulations to all our winners and finalists!

In addition to the awards, the event included a silent auction, dessert dash, games, and fund-a-need which raised $6,600 for the Covington Chamber’s Good Work Fund. Unique to the Covington Chamber, the Good Work Fund was established in 2020 to support projects and programs that assist businesses, schools and nonprofit organizations with their needs. It is funded each year by members who invest at or above the $1,000 level. Funds raised at the awards dinner will give the Covington Chamber the opportunity to support additional needs and create reserves.

About the Covington Chamber

The Covington Chamber was established in 1992 by a group of business owners who wanted to ensure their interests were represented in what was unincorporated King County at the time. Since the City of Covington was established in 1997, the Chamber and City have worked together closely to support the business community and encourage economic development. The Covington Chamber’s primary functions are to support and promote their members, advocate on behalf of businesses, and provide members with opportunities to connect with each other and the community.
