A 22-year-old man was fatally shot in the parking lot of the Cloud 9 Bar in Kent early Sunday, and police are seeking information about the suspect.
Officers were dispatched to the bar, located at 806 Central Ave. S., at 12:41 a.m. after receiving multiple 911 calls about a shooting. Witnesses reported hearing gunfire while inside the bar and finding the victim outside after the incident.
Medics and officers arrived within minutes and located the victim, who had been shot in the head.
Despite immediate efforts to assist him, sadly, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Kent police detectives are investigating the incident, which they believe was not random. They are gathering witness statements and evidence to identify the suspect and determine the events leading up to the shooting.
