NOTE: The opening date for the new tap room has been changed to June 21, 2016 and the closing date for the existing tap room has been changed to June 17, 2016.

Beer lovers rejoice! Locally-owned and operated Airways Brewing is relocating its brewing and tap room. Currently on 196th Street, Airways is moving to a new, 9000-square-foot location in Mid-June which has been under construction since March.

The new location – 8611 S. 212th St., Kent, WA 98031 – will open with a soft launch starting on June 21 at 2 p.m. The new spot will replace the original brewery, facilitating a fourfold increase in production and an increase in seating in the tap room.

The original 196th Street location will remain open through Friday, June 17. Customers must be 21 or older.

Tap room hours at the new location will be:

Tuesday: 2 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Wednesday: 2 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Thursday: 2 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Friday: 2 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Saturday: 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Closed Sundays and Mondays

In addition to announcing the opening date for the new tap room, Airways Brewing is unveiling new branding today.

“Over the past 6 years, a lot has changed. As we get ready to move the brewery and expand production, we’ve spent some time reflecting on where we want to go, and what makes Airways unique in a region that loves airplanes and beer,” said Alex Dittmar, founder and head brewer at Airways Brewing Company.

Airways Brewing in Kent reveals new branding and announces new tap room location.“The new logo, which you’ll start to see today, reflects our passion for the glamorous era of airline travel. While the airplanes are, of course, a huge part of that, we also wanted to capture the spirit of the people in the industry. These were innovators in an age before computers, and hard-working crews that worked long hours to make flying a luxury. The new logo pays tribute to their stories and the enduring friendships that have been passed on to us at Airways.”

Pints, tasters, growler fills and packaged products will be available at the new tap room, and guests can bring in food from surrounding Kent restaurants. Well-behaved dogs are also welcome. All customers must be 21 or older and bring valid I.D.

In addition to the new tap room, Airways Brewing Company owns and operates the Airways Brewing Beer & Bistro in downtown Kent, Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Fridays and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. In addition to their pints and packaged products, the bistro services tasty Northwest-style food, including salads, sandwiches and flatbread pizzas.
