Courtesy the King County Sheriff’s Office Guardian One helicopter comes this infrared footage showing the driver of a car that went into the Green River in Kent early Wednesday morning, Jan. 17 as he is recovered by police and emergency personnel.
Kent Police say the car went into the river around 12:30 a.m. near S. 259th Street and 3rd Ave S. (map below).
As can been seen in the video, the driver was the sole occupant of the vehicle, and was safely recovered from the river bank and taken to a local hospital.
It is unknown at this time why the car went into the river.
In addition to Kent P.D., Puget Sound Fire also responded.
