Report similar attacks to King County Sheriff’s Office
King County Sheriff’s Detectives are seeking female victims of unreported or unsolved assault cases similar to one that occurred in White Center. Case #C17010576)
On March 2, 2017, just before 2:30 AM, King County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a woman who had been severely beaten and sexually assaulted in the 9600 block of 15 Ave. SW in White Center.
The suspect, a 21-year-old male, grabbed the woman and tried to drag her to a secluded area before assaulting her. After the assault, he fled on foot. A witness called 911, and the suspect was apprehended a short distance from the crime scene and arrested.
The female victim sustained critical injuries and is in Harborview in a medically-induced coma. Detectives believe she is 55 years old and is either homeless or transient.
Because of the serious nature of the crime, King County Sheriff’s Detectives believe there may be similar unreported or unsolved cases. The suspect is believed to have lived in Tukwila, Auburn, Kent and South King County.
