Next community meeting is at Panther Lake Elementary.
The Kent Police Department invites the Kent community to join them for a community meeting at Panther Lake Elementary (10200 SE 216th St., Kent, WA 98031) on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at 7 PM.
The focus of the meeting is to bring leadership and community members together to address Kent crime concerns and introduce resources that the Kent Police Department can provide to assist community members in making their neighborhoods safer and more secure.
This will be a great opportunity for community members to speak to Kent Police Chief Ken Thomas, Command Staff, and other police department personnel about current crime trends, crime prevention, and police department programs. The meeting’s special presentation will be on the Portable Observation Devices (POD Cameras).
A cornerstone of the Kent Police strategy for creating safe communities is Intelligence Led Policing. This practice uses real-time crime intelligence, sharing information with our partners, proactive problem solving, and community partnerships to address the issues of crime while improving the quality of life.
