Applications Available Now

The Kent Community Foundation has put out its annual call for scholarship applications, making scholarships available to Kent area students attending college in the fall. The Foundation administers nine different scholarship funds. Most scholarship funds will award at least one scholarship per year, while others will award more than one. In 2016, the Kent Community Foundation awarded 18 scholarships totaling $29,250.

The 2017 scholarships available are:

–      Bob Armstrong Scholarship

–      Kent Chamber of Commerce Scholarship

–      Covington Chamber of Commerce Scholarship

–      Friends of Kent-Meridian Scholarship

–      Johnson-Stoddard-Osness Family Scholarship

–      Linda Ruby Scholarship

–      Rob Osborne Scholarship

–      Richard and Ina Balash Scholarship

–      Thunderbird Community Sports Foundation Scholarship

The due date for all scholarship applications is March 15, except for the Bob Armstrong Scholarship which has a due date of May 15. All applications are to be submitted electronically. A committee for each scholarship will review all applications and select the winners in April.

2016 Scholarship Winners

Winners will be notified by the end of April and recognized at a scholarship award celebration in May, hosted by the Foundation in partnership with other local organizations.
