Recycle Your Clutter at Fall Recycling Event
Clean out your garage! The city’s Fall Recycling Collection event has been announced. It will be Saturday, October 15 (9 AM – 3 PM) at Hogan Park, 24400 Russell Rd., Kent. Items that will be accepted include:
- Appliances
- Mattresses
- Toilets and sinks
- Concrete, rocks, asphalt and bricks (put on tarp, plastic sheet or buckets, please)
- Tires
- Petroleum products
- Free shredding of up to three file-sized boxes of documents, compliments of Shred-It of Washington
- Styrofoam blocks and peanuts, compliments of V&G StyroRecycling
- Batteries and electronics other than computers and TVs

The event is funded by grants from the Department of Ecology, King County Solid Waste Division and the Local Hazardous Waste Management Program.
